The first intake in Batam marks the start of training delivery at AAG Indonesia, supported by an onboarding process that every future batch will follow.

AAG Indonesia inducted its first batch of cadets on September 24, 2026, at its office in the Hang Nadim Airport terminal in Batam. The cadets began ground classes on September 25, as scheduled, marking the start of training at the platform.

Onboarding Week

The cadets arrived in Batam on September 21, accompanied by Tina Dinesh, AAG’s Business Development Executive in India, and were welcomed by the AAG Indonesia team. They then completed their DGCA medical examinations in Jakarta with the AAG team and took AAG’s TOEIC and psychometric entry tests.

Cadets from India reach Batam by one of two routes. The first batch, from South India, flew from Chennai and entered Batam via Kuala Lumpur, then traveled to Jakarta for their medicals. Cadets from Mumbai enter through Jakarta, completing their medical examinations there before flying on to Batam for induction.

Induction day began with a safety briefing and a welcome from Karin Item, Accountable Manager, followed by an overview of the training program. The cadets toured the campus and hangar before receiving their uniforms, training kits, and tablets in preparation for their first class.

The Path That Brought Them Here

For the first batch, the journey to Batam began well before their flight. Each cadet completed an admission form, accepted AAG’s offer letter, paid the registration fee, and signed the student agreement. With the first tuition installment settled, AAG processed their visas and issued each cadet a Certificate of Enrollment confirming the day training would begin.

TheĀ team in Batam coordinated the cadets’ arrival and training preparations.Ā Student AdministrationĀ managedĀ documentation and medical, psychometric, and TOEIC arrangements. As the photo shows, the Students are fulfilling their Balai Kesehatan Penerbangan (Aviation Health Center) needs that is part of the training.

Student Affairs coordinated travel, transfers, accommodation, and cadet welfare, while Training Records prepared records, student kits, and equipment. The process established for this first batch now serves as a guide for future intakes.

What’s Next

The first batch will continue through its training program, while AAG Indonesia and the Business Development team prepare for upcoming intakes and build partnerships to develop a sustainable pipeline of future cadets.
